Disappointing Experience-Profiteering over Quality

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

My recent experience on Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas was extremely disappointing. From the moment we boarded, it became evident that the primary focus was on upselling and extracting as much money as possible from guests, rather than providing a quality vacation experience. Everything seemed to have an additional cost, from basic amenities to activities that should have been included in

It was my boyfriend’s first ever cruise, and my 6th cruise! My prior cruise experiences include 3 Disney cruises with my family when I was in high school, 1 Carnival cruise in 2017, and 1 Royal Caribbean cruise in 2018 (on the Mariner of the Seas). This time we cruised from June 17th- June 21st, 2024 on the Freedom of the Seas. The itinerary included one day in Nassau, 1 day at Coco Cay, and one

Boat is old and it shows. Paint comes off in all the hot tubs on your swimsuit and its impossible to get off. Ruined several people's suits. Boat is small and has 3 restaurants, 1 is a steakhouse (pay not included) and 1 is a buffet. There were no shows at all the entire cruise. One time a comedian made an appearance and everyone I spoke with thought he was awful. Constant pressure to purchase

We had junior suite. Much much smaller than junior suites on other RCCL ships. Not even allowed in suite lounge. Was told this ship only did not honor junior suites. Water park was good but 45 minute waits. We had specialty dining at IZUMI. Booked 4 months prior to cruise. Was told day of reservation they accidentally gave our reservation away and had hard time getting money back. Food was

We have cruised with Royal Caribbean exclusively for the last 17 years. We are currently on our 9th or 10th cruise (lost count). We are on symphony of the seas, sailed from NJ to the Bahamas. This will be most definitely our last cruise. The last time we sailed was in 2019. First the good is that the ship is absolutely beautiful, lots of activities, friendly staff, and excellent shows. We are a

We will miss you Allure. Our final cruise on the Allure before she moves to Miami began as usual with effortless embarkation and a hearty greeting from the crew. First stop, the Crown Lounge for coffee where we met ourhost. We then found our balcony cabin which was exactly, to the foot, halfway between elevators. The room was very clean and setup per RCL's excellent standards. Our room steward

We did not enjoy this ship. We have this same itinerary and ship booked for next year and we are cancelling that cruise. I would rather lose the $200 we have put down as a deposit than go on this ship again. The public areas of this ship are still quite pretty. The public areas (venues, promenade, dining room, etc.) appear to be clean and well maintained. This was an extra cruise for us

A bit underwhelming but good enough. Stand out's that deserve shout outs are the CD cruisin susan, the concierge Julia and the room service teams these people reminded of of sailing before it became so popular. The cost cutting can be seen and felt everywhere. The drinks were awful, the food while tasty were the smallest portions to date and the servers/bartenders were stretched way to thin.
