A beer company was hiring a taster, someone to taste the beersbefore selling out. So they placed adverts and one afternoon, a dirty, rough looking man walked into the manager's office asking to be employed. The manager tried to figure out how he could drive this man away but couldn't come up with an idea, so he decided to give the man a trial. He ordered his secretary to give the man a glass of wine. He took a sip and said, "It's red wine, a muscat, three years old, grown on a north slope, matured in steel containers.""That's correct!" The manager exclaimed, "Well give him another one let's see." So he was given. He took a sip again and said, "It's burukutu, a combination of herbs and apeteshi distilled at Akokoaso near New Abirem in Eastern Region of Ghana 3 years ago" "Incredible!" said the manager. Now the manager went closer to the secretary and whispered to her saying, "Go get some of your urine in a cup let's see if he will get that." So the man was given the cup of urine. He took a sip, turned to the manager and said, "Female urine, 26 years old, 2 weeks pregnant and if I'm not given this job, sir, I will tell your wife who is responsible for the pregnancy!" both the man and the secretary fainted..😁😳✌Author Unknown

𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐛’𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐯 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛?[Weekly Halachah #24]If a Jew works in a non-kosher restaurant, is studying in a standard culinary school, is a nurse, or is a home health aide working for an institution or individual that does not keep kosher, the question arises: May they cook basar b’chalav in the course of doing their work?In any of these contexts one may not cook basar b’chalav dehoritah, since it is completely assur to cook or derive any benefit from basar b’chalav.[1] However, if the food has already been cooked,[2] or the food is non-kosher,[3] there may be grounds for leniency in a case of great need.[4][1] See Kessef Mishneh to Rambam Hilchos Tumas Meis 1:2 who rules that cooking basar b’chalav is only forbidden if one intends to eat the food. He reasons that the Torah implicitly teaches that the prohibition to cook only applies if the cooking is done with intention to eat. However, Kessef Mishneh’s approach is generally rejected by later poskim.[2] In OC 318:4, Mechaber teaches that recooking is not a violation of the prohibition to cook on Shabbos. The poskim here discuss whether the same leniency applies to basar b’chalav. Rabbi Akiva Eiger [87:1] rules that this leniency does apply to basar b’chalav. However, Pri Megadim [SD 87:2] rules that the leniency does not apply, and that recooking basar bi’chalav is still assur dehoritah.is problematic by basar b’chalav.[3] See se’if beis.[4] Another question that arises is: Sometimes, college students and chemists cook basar b’chalav for the purpose of science experiments. Is this prohibited? Shu”t Dovev Mesharim [1:30] raises the possibilitysuggests that one may cook basar b’chalav ingredients in a science lab if no one will come to eat them. He reasons that the prohibition to cook basar b’chalav pertains only to edible foods. Therefore, if it is certain that no one will eat the food, then no prohibition should apply. However, he concludes that this is not permitted, since the Gemara [Chullin 113a] brings a case where one could be punished for cooking a basar b’chalav mixture, but not for eating it.

HELLO EVERYONE GOOD EVENING SUNDAY 😊THIS IS🌞KET MANAGER & CONTENT WRITER #BIGOBASKET SACHIN TAK BEHALF SALESACHIN #FOODICPUNE #PUNEPANDACotton Candy banned in Puduch*erry, here's whyThis Is Why Cotton Candy Is Banned In Puduch*erryWho doesn't enjoy cotton candy? From the very young to the old, everyone loves to eat it. But, this cotton candy may have adverse effects on the body. What is cotton candy?Cotton candy is also called ‘fairy floss’ and ‘Buddhi Ke Baal’ is a traditional sweet available in many places. Cotton candy is a type of spun sugar which is popular in many countries. It is made from sugar syrup, then spun through a small hole, which is collected on a stick and is then served as a cotton candy. Made in different colours, this dish is eaten with great taste and is said to be very light in weight. Why was it banned? If reports are to be believed, then, the ‘Buddhi ke Baal’ as they are fondly called, are produced by adding highly toxic chemicals that are harmful to small organisms and there are several shops in Puduch*erry that are making cotton candy using a poisonous substance called 'Rhodamine B'. Recently the Puduch*erry Lieutenant Governer Tamilisai Soundararajan issued a statement that the food safety officials have found Rhodamine-B, a toxic substance, in cotton candy samples and Puduch*erry officials have been instructed to inspect shops selling cotton candies. While some shops have been sealed, the food safety officers have been instructed to seize any more shops, if toxic material is found in the cotton candy samples. On the other hand, Rhodamine B, also commonly known as RhB, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH.gov) is a chemical compound, which is used for colour purposes. After entering the body with food, it has a distributed effect on cells and tissues. Prolonged consumption of RhB-contaminated food can cause cancer or liver damage. Its presence in excess can lead to poisoning-like conditions. So parents should also think 100 times before giving this food to their children.Ill effects of cotton candyIts high sugar content can cause blood sugar levels to rise quickly, which increases hyperactivity and the amount of energy generated from it. This can lead to constant mood swings in children and make them irritable. Consuming too much can lead to weight gain. Not only this, the sweetness in this cotton candy can also increase the risk of childhood obesity along with toothache and tooth decay due to its harmful effects on dental health. Experts further point out that cotton candy lacks essential nutrients. What is the effect? The substance, when ingested, may manifest as a skin rash, gastrointestinal obstruction, or breathing problems. Thus, cotton candy may occasionally be a treat but parents should refrain from buying and giving this substance to children to avoid these adverse effects on children's health.

The oldest drink originated from Indonesia, called "Tuak" (palm wine), which united the people and brought peace. The tradition of drinking Tuak (palm wine) is thought to have existed long before the founding of the Majapahit kingdom in 1295 AD. The tradition of drinking palm wine still exists today. Back in the day, Tuak drinkers came from various levels of society, groups, and social levels: farmers, workers, employees, traders, soldiers, police, businessmen, the poor, and the rich.Psst. I drink it! I love it a lot.Well, tuak is an alcoholic beverage created from thesapof various species ofpalm trees, such aspalmyra, date palms, andcoconutpalms. The alcohol content contained in palm wine is clearly lower. The average alcohol content of beer is between 5 and 10 percent. Tuak is even lower in alcohol content when compared to wine, which has an alcohol content of up to 15 percent. The raw material for tuak comes from coconut sap. It is said that the local people made liquor from the flowers of coconut trees that were up to three feet long. This flower is cut, and the water is collected into alcohol. The taste is very sweet. But it gets drunk very quickly. The drink is known by various names in different regions and is common in various parts ofAfrica, theCaribbean,South America,South Asia,Southeast Asia, andMicronesia. Up to today, the Batak community of North Sumatra consumes theirtuakduring celebrations and special occasions.Tuakis a kind of palm wine, sometimes mixed with dried fruits that give the beverage a sweeter flavor. Until today, tuakwas often served at Batak weddings and other ceremonies, and it’s still common to offer a glass oftuakto guests at a Bataknese home.In Flores-Manggarai culture, palm wine is a type of traditional drink that is often used as a medium or intermediary to bond and strengthen brotherhood. Apart from that, palm wine is also used to strengthen the message conveyed. However, it is not uncommon for people to consume it just for fun. However, this still does not diminish the value and existence of Tuak when used in a ritual or traditional celebration. Where palm wine is an obligatory drink, and what is no less interesting is that Tuak is served to the ancestors as a symbol to honor their spirits, who are believed to be present during the event. It would not be an exaggeration if I said that Tuak is a drink of peace, a drink that knows no age limits. In general, when Tuak is covered with various interests, especially when used in traditional rituals, that is where the symbol of peace will be interpreted. One example is resolving disagreements between fellow villagers. People who have a big heart and know about customs, of course, the first thing they do is use palm wine and apologize. So, this is where Tuak has a very sacred, noble meaning. Tuak can reunite broken relationships. So, who wants to drink some Tuak with me? It's my fifth glass so far!#indonesia #plants #drinks

It was 2014. We just moved into our house. At 7am, we had limited choices of food to eat, so we bought Akara from the nearest place we could find. It's 2024. Ten years later and the shops we bought from then, still look the same now. No significant growth business wise. Why?With majority of Nigerians eating Akara, all you have to do is to sell five hundred naira Akara to two hundred thousand people (about 0.10% of Nigeria's population) and you'll be making a hundred million naira per month.Atleast theoretically, but you get the point. So, how would I sell Akara if I wanted to succeed:1) I'd sell complimentary products. No, I won't just sell raw pap. I'd sell it in cooked form and cater to those that want it ready-made. I'd sell co*ke for the Akara, bread and co*ke combination. Custard for those that prefer it.I'd sell bread, all types. Milk for the pap. Sugar for those that need it. I'd set chairs and table for those that wants to eat a quick akara breakfast at the shop, not wanting to carry 'cheap' Akara all the way to work.Basically, I'd make it that the moment you walk into my shop, you won't have to walk outside till you are done with anything Akara.2) I'd sell in bundles:How do I get people to buy my co*ke or milk instead of buying it elsewhere? It's simple, I'd sell in bundles."Akara is #100 and bread is #200 but buy Akara and bread together and it costs #250"I'd do same for other products.3) Make my own recipe: I'd make my own special type of Akara.Akara is food, play around with it. Someone somewhere decided to play around with beans, that's how they discovered that you can boil beans and get bean porridge, fry it and get Akara, grind and boil it and get Moi-moi.Same with Okpa. Someone discovered they could add leaves to it and created a different recipe.Get a special recipe of Akara. It could be fish Akara or potato Akara 😂, I don't know. But let people come to you because of your different flavours. It will be disgusting at first but soon enough, you'll create your unique selling point.Gracias💙Sincerely,Chika.#marketing #advertisingakara #advertising #marketinspecialist

Why did the UK Tea Academy start The Leafies?A couple of years ago we were approached by an Australian tea organisation asking why there were no dedicated tea awards in the UK and they thought the UK Tea Academy was in an ideal position to run them. We agreed. The UKTA is not a tea company, there is no bias and we have an outstanding network of tutors comprising highly regarded, independent professionals who have been in the tea industry for decades and make ideal judges. The purpose of theInternational Tea Academy Awards (The Leafies)is to raise the profile of speciality tea and give the smaller producers a connection to buyers keen to curate exceptional teas. We designed an assessment process that is unassailable in its transparency and rigour. The judging criteria were established with input from the judges, whoinclude leading buyers from Fortnum & Mason, The Ritz, Twinings, Lipton and owners of distinguished speciality tea companies. All their bios are posted on The Leafies webpage.Every tea entered into The Leafies is blind tasted by at least three judges, including a lead judge whose core expertise is based in the category region. The criteria for each tea assess dry and wet leaf, the colour, brightness, aroma, flavour, mouthfeel and aftertaste of the liquor. The number of possible marks for each criterion is weighted and the score system is adjusted for specific categories such as powdered teas. Our professional brew team make every tea exactly according to the entrant's instructions. The top-scoring teas in each category are all re-tasted before judges make their final decisions on which tea is awarded Gold and how many of them are awarded Highly Commended. In the interests of full disclosure, no teas are allowed to be entered into The Leafies by tea companies associated with the judges or anyone else involved in The Leafies.Last yearnearly three hundred teas entered TheLeafies from gardens, estates, suppliers and retailers worldwide. Five Gold winning teas from small-batch artisan makers are now being sold from theRare Tea Counter ofour partner Fortnum & Mason. For The Leafies 2023 we have included changes based on feedback, including:- New region categories to give less established producers a chance to shine- Dedicated feedback service to let entrants know the breakdown of their tea scores- Three additional judges to cover more regions and areas of expertiseListen to the latest Tea Biz podcast whereDananjaya Silvaspeaks to UKTA Co-Founder Jennifer Wood and Project Manager for The Leafies Jo Selman-Smith to hear more about the awards. With the deadline for this year's awards (Monday 18th September) fast approaching, we're looking forward to the event to bring together the speciality tea world and celebrate some of the world's finest loose leaf teas and the outstanding people behind them.https://bit.ly/45EwIfT

Did you know 🥑 An avocado is actually an Alligator Pear... See it?!The avocado has an awesomenicknamewhich is almost never used. According to legend, an early English word for the avocado was “Avogado Pear.” This most likely was a translation mishap or came from someone who didn’t know what to call it.This name led to “alligator pear.” Although an accident, the nickname suits the fruit very well. Shaped like a pear, the avocado has skin that resembles that of a reptile, specifically analligator 🐊 #tesco #sainsburys #asda #morrisons #iceland #marksandspencer #ocado #waitrose #lidl #aldi #aligatorpear #aligator #pear #fresh #produce #freshproduce #fruit #fruits #avocado #avos #import #export #rwanda #kenya #tanzania #premier #foods #premierfoods #permierfoodswholesale

Follow👉 Techup Pakistan Think of a world without ginger. No more tasty fiery karahis, no more spicy curries, and no more refreshing ginger tea. Sounds dull, right? But it’s the same fear that took over the global ginger market in 2023 as uncertainties and shortages started impacting different regions. In this dynamic global landscape that we are going to talk about in a minute, the once-stable spice finds itself at a crossroads and Pakistan, for all its agricultural resources, still depends on imports for this critical ingredient of its cuisines. Pakistan’s Ginger imports have nearly doubled in value between 2018 to 2022 touching over Rs. 16 billion in 2021-22 as compared to Rs 8 billion during 2017-18.
